PulseX Music Player ("we", "our", "us", or "the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how it may be processed when you use PulseX Music Player.

a) Music and Media Files

PulseX Music Player may request access to music/audio files stored on your device to:

  • Scan available music files
  • Display songs, albums and playlists
  • Read music metadata
  • Play audio files
  • Provide music-player functionality

Your locally stored music and audio files are not uploaded to our servers for storage or processing through the normal music playback functionality.

b) Device and Advertising Information

PulseX Music Player may use third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob.

Depending on your device, settings and applicable advertising configuration, advertising services may process information such as:

  • Advertising ID or other device identifiers
  • IP address and general/approximate location derived from network information
  • App interactions
  • Advertising and ad-performance information
  • Diagnostics and technical information

This information may be used for purposes such as displaying advertisements, measuring advertising performance, analytics, fraud prevention, and improving advertising services.

c) Analytics Information

PulseX Music Player may use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App and to improve the App.

e) Search and App Interaction Information

  • Songs played

  • Songs shared
  • Playlist-related actions

This information may be sent to analytics services such as Firebase Analytics to understand App usage and improve the App.

f) Collaborative Playlist Information

If you use collaborative playlist features, the App may process information required to provide those features, such as:

  • Playlist name

  • Owner/display name

  • Playlist-related actions

This information may be stored using cloud services such as Firebase/Cloud Firestore to provide collaborative playlist functionality.

g) Purchase Information

If you purchase a premium subscription or other in-app purchase, the App may process purchase/subscription-related information necessary to provide premium functionality and verify your purchase.

Payment card, bank account or other sensitive payment credentials are not directly collected by PulseX Music Player. Payments are processed through the applicable Google Play billing/payment infrastructure.

2. How We Use Information

Information processed by PulseX Music Player and its service providers may be used to:

  • Provide music playback functionality
  • Scan and display local music
  • Provide playlists and collaborative features
  • Process and verify premium purchases
  • Understand how users interact with the App
  • Improve App functionality
  • Monitor crashes and diagnose technical problems
  • Improve performance and stability
  • Display and measure advertisements
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Maintain and secure the App

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be transmitted to third-party service providers when necessary to provide App functionality, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, billing, security or other services.

The App may use the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob – advertising and advertising measurement
  • Firebase Analytics – analytics and App usage measurement
  • Firebase Crashlytics – crash reporting and diagnostics
  • Firebase/Cloud Firestore – collaborative playlist/cloud functionality
  • Google Play Billing – in-app purchases and subscriptions

These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, court order, or to protect our rights, users, security, or the integrity of the App.

Local music and audio files remain on your device unless you independently choose to share or transfer them using another feature or application.

PulseX Music Player may request the following permissions depending on your Android version and the features you use:

Storage / Media Permission

Used to:

  • Access music/audio files
  • Scan your media library
  • Display songs and albums
  • Play locally stored audio

Notification Permission

Used to provide media playback notifications and playback controls.

Internet Permission

Used for:

  • Advertisements
  • Analytics
  • Crash reporting
  • Cloud/collaborative features
  • Other network-based App functionality

The App does not use Internet access to upload your local music library merely for music playback.

6. Children's Privacy

PulseX Music Player is not directed specifically toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly request children to provide personal information for account creation.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us in a manner that should not have occurred, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the App and its service providers.

Data transmitted between the App and supported cloud services is generally protected using encryption in transit, such as HTTPS/TLS where applicable.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Choices

You can control certain permissions through your Android device settings.

Depending on your device and Android version, you may be able to:

  • Allow or deny media permissions
  • Allow or deny notification permissions
  • Reset or restrict advertising identifiers
  • Manage personalized advertising settings
  • Remove the App from your device

Disabling certain permissions or services may affect some App functionality.
