Effective Date: 4 October 2026 Last Updated: 4 October 2026

Pulsex Video Player ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pulsex Video Player ("App") handles information when you use our mobile application.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About Pulsex Video Player

Pulsex Video Player is a multimedia application designed to provide features such as:

  • Video playback
  • Music playback
  • Background audio playback
  • Video and music library management
  • Folder browsing
  • Playlists
  • Equalizer and audio effects
  • Gallery and photo viewing
  • Duplicate media detection
  • Storage cleaning
  • Trash and restore functionality
  • Secure folder functionality
  • WhatsApp status media access and saving
  • Direct video downloading where supported
  • Video screenshots and sharing
  • Picture-in-Picture playback
  • YouTube-powered Explore content
  • Optional premium features through Pulsex Pro

Your personal media is processed locally on your device. The App also uses a limited set of third-party services (Firebase, YouTube API and Google Play Billing) as described below.

2. Information We Access

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the App may access the following information.

2.1 Photos, Videos and Audio Files

The App may request access to media stored on your device, including:

  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Music and audio files
  • Media metadata such as file name, duration, size, folder and playback-related information

This access is required for features such as video playback, music playback, gallery browsing, media search, playlists, duplicate detection, storage cleaning, trash management, secure folder functionality and WhatsApp status saving.

Your media files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers by the App.

The App only accesses media after you grant the required Android permission or select a folder/file through the Android system picker.

3. Storage and File Access

Depending on your Android version, Pulsex Video Player may use Android's MediaStore and Storage Access Framework to read, create, move, restore or delete media files.

For example, the App may create a folder named Pulsex Status Saver for media that you explicitly choose to save.

When you use cleaning, duplicate removal, trash, secure folder or delete functionality, the App performs the action only after it is initiated by you. We do not automatically delete your personal media.

4. WhatsApp Status Feature

The App provides an optional WhatsApp Status Saver/Cleaner feature.

When you choose to use this feature:

  • The App may check whether supported WhatsApp packages are installed on your device.
  • You may be asked to select the WhatsApp .Statuses folder using Android's system folder picker.
  • If you grant access, the App reads the media available in that selected folder.
  • You may choose to save selected photos or videos to your device.

The App does not access your WhatsApp messages, chats, contacts or account information.

The App does not upload WhatsApp status media to our servers.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permission to save or reuse any media belonging to others.

5. Secure Folder

Pulsex Video Player provides a Secure Folder feature that allows you to manage selected photos and videos separately.

The App may use Android's system device authentication mechanism, such as PIN, pattern, password, fingerprint or other supported device authentication methods.

The App does not receive or store your device PIN, password or fingerprint information. Authentication is handled by the Android operating system.

6. Analytics, Crash Reporting and Remote Configuration (Firebase)

The App uses the following Google Firebase services:

  • Firebase Analytics – to understand how the App is used (for example which features are used and how often) so we can improve it.
  • Firebase Crashlytics – to collect crash reports and diagnostics so we can find and fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Firebase Remote Config – to deliver configuration values and feature settings to the App without requiring an update.

Through these services, the following information may be collected automatically:

  • App usage events, screens viewed, session information and first-open information
  • Crash logs, stack traces and diagnostic information about the state of the App when a crash occurred
  • Device information such as device model, manufacturer, operating system version, language, screen and hardware details
  • App version and installation information
  • A randomly generated app-instance / installation identifier assigned by Firebase
  • Approximate region or country, derived from your IP address
  • IP address, which is technically processed by Google as part of normal Internet communication

This information is collected in a form that does not directly identify you (we do not link it to your name, email address or phone number). It is used only for analytics, stability and app-improvement purposes, and not for advertising or profiling.

This data is processed by Google under Google's own terms and privacy practices. For more information, see:

  • Firebase Privacy and Security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can limit this collection by clearing App data or uninstalling the App. Where available in the App or in your device settings, you can also reset or limit identifiers used on your device.

7. Pulsex Pro and Google Play Billing

Pulsex Video Player offers optional premium features through Pulsex Pro, which may be purchased as a one-time purchase or subscription (as shown in the App at the time of purchase).

All payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your credit/debit card, UPI, bank or other payment details.

When you make a purchase, the App and Google Play may process:

  • Purchase status and product ID (for example whether Pulsex Pro is active)
  • Purchase token and order information, used to verify and restore your entitlement
  • Subscription status, renewal and expiry information, where applicable

This information is used only to unlock premium features, verify your purchase and restore it on reinstall or on another device signed in to the same Google account.

Purchases, refunds, cancellations and subscription management are handled through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms:

  • Google Play Terms of Service: https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/
  • Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time from Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

8. YouTube Data API

The App uses the YouTube Data API v3 to provide content in the Explore section.

The App may request publicly available YouTube information such as:

  • Video title
  • Video thumbnail
  • Video duration
  • View count
  • Video category
  • YouTube video ID
  • Other publicly available video metadata returned by the YouTube API

The App may send requests to Google's YouTube API servers to retrieve this information. The App uses the API to display available YouTube content and does not download or re-host YouTube videos.

When you select a YouTube video, the video may open in the official YouTube application or your web browser.

By using the Explore section, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube may independently collect and process information according to Google's and YouTube's own privacy practices.

  • Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
  • YouTube API Services Terms of Service: https://developers.google.com/youtube/terms/api-services-terms-of-service

You can revoke any access you have granted to Google through the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions

9. YouTube API Key

The App uses a YouTube Data API key to communicate with the YouTube Data API.

The API key is used for application functionality such as retrieving publicly available YouTube video information. The API key itself is not used to identify you personally.

We recommend users do not attempt to extract, misuse or abuse API services provided through the App.

10. Internet and Network Information

The App requires Internet access for features that depend on online services, including:

  • YouTube Explore content and YouTube API requests
  • Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config
  • Google Play Billing
  • Remote thumbnails or images
  • Direct media downloads initiated by the user
  • Other online functionality

When the App connects to any online service, standard network information such as your IP address is technically visible to that service as part of normal Internet communication. Google (through Firebase, YouTube and Google Play) may process this information, for example to determine approximate location such as country or region, as described in Section 6.

We do not use your IP address for advertising, profiling or tracking you across other apps or websites, and we do not build a personal profile of you from it. Third-party service providers process technical network information according to their own privacy policies.

11. Direct Video Downloads

Pulsex Video Player may allow you to download supported direct media URLs. Downloads are initiated by you.

The App does not intentionally download or re-host YouTube videos through the YouTube API.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you download:

  • Is legally available for download
  • Does not violate copyright
  • Does not violate the website/service's terms
  • Does not infringe the rights of another person

We do not claim ownership of downloaded content.

12. App Preferences and Settings

The App may store certain preferences locally on your device, such as:

  • Display preferences
  • Sorting preferences
  • Grid/list preferences
  • Equalizer settings
  • Playlist information
  • Favourite selections
  • User-entered profile name, if you choose to provide one
  • Selected folder permissions
  • Playback-related preferences

These settings are stored locally using Android's local storage mechanisms. They are not automatically uploaded to our servers.

13. Voice Search

The App may provide an optional voice-search feature.

When you use voice search, the App may launch Android's system speech recognition service. Audio/speech processing may therefore be performed by the speech-recognition service selected by your device or Android.

Pulsex Video Player does not maintain a separate voice recording database. The availability and processing of voice input may depend on the speech-recognition provider installed on your device.

14. Notifications

The App may request notification permission on supported Android versions.

Notifications may be used for functionality such as background music playback, background video audio playback, playback controls, and download or media-related status.

You can manage notification permissions through Android's system settings.

15. Background Playback

Pulsex Video Player can continue audio playback while the App is not actively visible.

Android's foreground service mechanism may be used for music playback and video background audio playback. The App may display a media notification with playback controls while these services are active.

16. Bluetooth and Audio Devices

The App may interact with Android's audio system to support playback through phone speakers, wired headphones, Bluetooth audio devices and other supported audio outputs.

The App does not collect your Bluetooth contacts or personal Bluetooth information for advertising or profiling.

17. Camera

The App may provide an option to open your device's camera application from the gallery interface.

The App does not require a camera permission to provide this functionality. When you choose to open the camera, Android's camera application handles the camera operation.

18. Information We Do Not Collect

Pulsex Video Player does not intentionally collect or maintain the following:

  • Your name or email address for online identification
  • Phone number
  • Contacts
  • SMS messages
  • Call logs
  • Precise location or GPS information
  • Passwords
  • Device PIN or fingerprint data
  • Payment card or bank details (payments are handled entirely by Google Play)
  • Health information
  • Private WhatsApp chats, messages or personal conversations
  • Microphone recordings stored by us
  • Photos, videos or other personal media uploaded to our servers

Please note that the limited technical, usage and diagnostic information described in Section 6 (Firebase) and the purchase information described in Section 7 (Google Play Billing) is collected as explained in those sections.

19. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We do not upload your personal photos, videos, music, WhatsApp media or local files to our own servers.

We share limited technical information only with the service providers needed to operate the App, which process it under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase – analytics, crash reporting and remote configuration
  • Google Play – purchases and subscriptions
  • Google / YouTube – YouTube Data API functionality
  • Android system services – file selection, authentication, speech recognition, notifications and media management
  • Websites or services that you choose to access through the App

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the security of the App.

20. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. Most personal media and application preferences are processed or stored locally on your device. Data sent to Google services is transmitted over secure connections.

However, no electronic storage system or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should maintain appropriate security on your device, including a screen lock, device updates, secure authentication and protection against unauthorized access.

21. Data Retention

  • Your photos and videos remain on your device unless you choose to delete, move or modify them.
  • App preferences remain on your device until they are cleared or removed.
  • Folder permissions remain subject to Android's permission system.
  • Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config data is retained by Google according to Firebase's data retention settings and policies.
  • Purchase records are retained by Google Play according to Google's policies.
  • YouTube API data may be temporarily processed or cached as necessary for app functionality.

We do not maintain a central database containing your personal media.

22. Your Choices and Permissions

You are in control of the permissions granted to Pulsex Video Player. You can:

  • Grant or deny media permissions
  • Revoke permissions through Android Settings
  • Stop notifications
  • Remove selected folder access
  • Clear App data
  • Cancel your Pulsex Pro subscription through Google Play
  • Uninstall the App
  • Delete media created by the App
  • Stop using online features

Some features may not work if the required permission is denied.

23. Children's Privacy

Pulsex Video Player is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation.
